Kings Arms? Sat in there one New Year’s Eve for a bit when there was about 8 inches of water flowing through, landlord had made a walkway out of milk crates and planks to keep your feet dry.
If the Kings Arms is at the end of the bridge over the Ouse, that’ll be the one. I think I might have a trip down there when the summer gets here. Just hope the clientele has changed. Although they say never go back. Took a trip down to my old barracks and workshops in the 80s - the barracks were housing a lasses regiment and the workshops were a supermarket. Nostalgia hurts at times.

It is. Can’t comment on clientele to be honest as I rarely go into town when the boozers are out and about. It’s (York) been selling itself as a stag and hen do destination so there’s that to deal with.

I just hope it doesn’t become the same as Newcastle on a Friday night.
