Just feels there is more to this than his wrist or knee, strikes me as quite a deep thinker and after whats happened in his life maybe he is struggling to square things off.

Im probably reading to much into his social media and online comments but hope he can get injury free and in a good place.

As for Alese, again I get people's frustration but if we get and keep him fit hes a premier league centre half all day
The bit you said about him being a deep thinker sparked something on a lighter note.

The wife and I were watching all the play off final post match stuff in the days afterwards and it was amusing when a couple of interviewers got to Cirkin. All the other players were giving quick soundbites but Cirks was like 'in the beginning there was the word'. The camera would move off to catch more stuff going on, then back to Cirks a few minutes later and he is still talking to the same poor interviewer.

I like the lad and hope he gets back to his best, here or if he moves on.

Good player but made of glass. Just not reliable at all. 25 in January, won’t get much better. He’s another I believe is done here
This, injury free he’s absolutely a prem regular by now but he must be what 6th 7th choice now?

Ballard
Alderete
Mukiele
Geertruida
Onien
Reinildo?

I think he’s done here

Misses far too many fixtures and now has Reinildo and Masuaku ahead of him…
Not to mention Hume and Geertruida who can also play LB. I reckon O9 gets in ahead of him too.
Club seems in no rush to extend his contract so I think you are correct

…I’d bet he doesn’t play a single PL game for Sunderland at CB. Far too many ahead of him now

Sadly I agree - I think he has the ability to step up to the PL, more so than Cirkin, but he is absolutely miles behind the rest of the squad in terms of fitness and reliability.
Ideal scenario, he gets a loan to the Championship in January and plays 25+ games without injury

He’s not getting anywhere near the side without injuries or suspensions

Reinildo has been superb and with the experience Masuaka brings…
