I'm very very surprised AVB and Moyes are joint top.
Just to reiterate tots, my vote was based on knowing nothing about blanc or rangnick, the fact that I don't see Moyes or martinez as a forward move... which left AVB! wouldn't mind if he was, but he's not ideal, to say the least.

and AVB before deciding to work for a power hungry Oligarch and a collective bunch of primadonnas and childish idiots had great success at Porto...he won the league and he won a European trophy....managed some class players aswell as some young stars...so either AVB is a valid choice or we cant use that as a reason...since success for both has been in recent seasons.
sounds good, but doesn't the same argument of "he's never managed in the premier league and could be a failure" apply to him too?
there's been a few comments referring to this and how we shouldn't be going for someone foreign, as we don't want another ramos. This point has mainly been used against the idea of AVB coming in, but there's been a fair few people who like the idea of blanc.
surely extreme caution has to be considered with him too? he's gotta be an even bigger risk... surely?
I'm still sitting on the fence although whoever is chosen will get my full support. However, my missus who knows nothing about football, said that Martinez should get the job 'because he's better looking than the last bloke'. On that basis perhaps I might stand a chance (just).
and 1 of them was England, so you can discount that one too. Although that might have been the 22nd so i'll let you off

Isn't the truth somewhere along the lines of that the squad is far more important than the manager. Chelsea have had a succession of managers yet remained at a similar level of performance. Mainly I suspect because they were just going with what was there rather than trying to rebuild. The only one to drop from that level was AVB because he was trying to make radical changes. It appears that he did not handle it very well so I can understand the worry from some on here.
Spurs don't need a rebuild just a few additions to a good squad, that should make the new manager's job a lot easier and provided he is not an egomaniac we should not see too much of a change in performance either way. A bit more effective or a bit less in other words anywhere between top and 7th.

As far as I understand it, from what I've read, Levy's idea of a new direction involves placing far more emphasis on the development of our own young talent, rather than any radical change in playing. The idea being to use our brand new coaching and training facilities to bring on our home grown talent rather than spending millions in the open market.
Of the choices above, I'd have to say Moyes, but it's not an easy choice.
I figure Moyes has more chance of adapting to our attacking football and having a quick start to the season than AVB has of being half decent at man management and not becoming a nervous insecure wreck when things don't go his way.
I don't know enough about Blanc to comment in too much detail on him, but the fact that he couldn't outwit Hodgson with the talent he has in the French squad keeps me from being excited about his possible appointment.
Martinez speaks well and seems composed, but, as I'm sure I've seen it said on here before, we beat him 9-1, with Harry. Just feels odd to go for him when that is considered.

AVD was neck and neck with Moyes, yet once the club is said to be speaking to him votes Moyes and Blanc increased once more. Says a lot...
I dont want Blanc he has won trophies in a tin pot league.

amazing how so many are writing off AVB, yet there's so many voting for Blanc, where the same argument surely applies? I really don't get it.
exactly....baffling me and ive made my remark with regards to this above as it is riling me..but i think we want Blanc because he reminds us all of Santini.
like i said in the AVB article..i can pick holes in any candidate but lets all condemn AVB because he came across a bunch idiots at the worst club in my eyes...full of the biggest coks from the stands to the pitch....chelsea turned him into a sht manager just like they turned Di Matteo into a world class one(im being sarcastic here).
