Well as usual the mags are trying their hardest to come out of this game as having superior footballers & whiter than white supporters! So one thing at a time - I do not condone the wording of the Taylor chant I agree with Martin O'Neill it was in poor taste, however, I have to say what did he expect? The LONDONER (who incidentally, has consistently refused over the years to sign his contracts until he realises that no other club wants him)had insulted all of our players & Sunderland football club, so we were going to answer by insulting him in some way. The thing I have noticed is the press don't seem to have a problem with the mags chanting about Catts. If one of our supporters has racially abused any player, I hope they get the book thrown at them & are banned from the ground, but I cannot really condemn fans for retaliating to being insulted by Taylor. Next, I am the first to admit we were poor, there wasn't enough passion this was evident as we didn't get (or deserve) any cards. However Cappuccino has been lauded as being fantastic, so if we didn't trouble them how did he have anything to do? Is this not a contradiction in the reporting of the game? Lastly for the moment at least,
when any other team plays badly & gets something from the game we are told how fantastic they are, so I for one am happy with a point on that performance & still think we have plenty to come from this team. Oh & incidentally I wouldn't want any of there current team playing for us.
