Anyone ever seen a better snooker player than Ronnie O'Sullivan ?
I certainly haven't - and I've been watching ever since Fred & Joe Davis started being televised on the Beeb.

    Magic.

When he's on song, like he is tonight, he's magic, best ever. He can be temperamental though, doesn't have the consistency that eg Steve Davis or Stephen Hendry had. If I was a betting man, which I'm not, I'd be wary of backing Ronnie.

Agree with everything you say. I'd bet on him making any snooker match he plays an exciting spectacle. Could not say that of the two Steves I don't think.

Well, the Steves played snooker for purists and to win, Ronnie is an entertainer, I sometimes wonder if he cares if he wins or loses!

Just watching McGill and Clarke, 2 less inspiring players you'll struggle to find. Bit like watching me playing darts, always end up needing double 1.

Win a frame in less than 4 minutes as opposed to 35+ minutes perhaps ?

By refusing a 147 because he thought the prize money for such an occurrence was not enough. And because he can

He didn't make it into my list of people you would like to go for a drink with.

I watched McGill vs Clarke hoping to see some action, specifically a punch up...
Got a bit fiesty right at the end.

Two of the worst players I've seen for ages. Terry Griffiths and Ray Reardon could be tempted to come out of retirement,

Outside of one or two players like Judd Trump, Ronnie is spot on. There are very few great young players coming through.

Don't think he made too many new friends in that interview though. Right or not he came across as a bit of a prat I thought, quite disrespectful to his fellow professionals and the fans.

He's been like that his entire career, anyone who won't have liked this interview probably already didn't like him.

Ronnie is a prat alright. No doubt about it. Thing is though he's spot on. I was under the impression that there were scores of Chinese players who would dominate but they never arrived.
just watching McGill vs maflin. Turgid stuff!

It's hard to dislike him but he should know by now that as a senior pro he shouldn't be saying stuff like that.

I like Ronnie O'Sullivan Quill. He's the best player I've ever seen in 50 years, watching and playing. That said,I thought his comments, based on some fact, were disgraceful!!! It's true there don't appear to be many new faces coming through at present but to label them amateurs, and poor ones at that,is beyond the pale, big headed and derogatory.I struggle to work Ronnie out at times,he has issues but needs to engage his brain before some of his interviews.
