Minchelas were the kings of ice cream

Ah, blast from the past. Minchella's of South Shields? Used to love being taken down shields/Marsden as a kid. day on the beach/in the sea with a packed lunch followed-up by a Minchela's before the drive home. felt like an adventure every time....happy days.

Also sunderland.

Used to like going into the grotto. Strange boozer.

We mustn't forget how many we drew last season, 13 or 14 was it?

We aren't a million miles away from achieving that improvement in results and with a more positive and attacking attitude from the start of the season from old Eggnog than we had with GP last year, there's a lot to be positive about!

Im sticking with minchelas. After all they were in sundetland. On the coast at seaburn. A walk to the ground.

So all things considered.

The first vans I remember were Walls. They were solid blocks of ice cream. The first of the soft kind was possibly Notarianni in Crowtree Road at the top of the old bus station.

Whippy was the one pretty much took over the vans.
