Ah, blast from the past. Minchella's of South Shields? Used to love being taken down shields/Marsden as a kid. day on the beach/in the sea with a packed lunch followed-up by a Minchela's before the drive home. felt like an adventure every time....happy days.
Went there on Sunday - couldn't resist the giant tub, scoffed the lot in one go!! Definitely the best outside Italy.
Nah, Finnish Ice Cream is the best......apparently Fins are No globally in terms of ice cream/consumption per capita after the Kiwis and Aussies. Liquorice & chocolate mint is my persy favourite! They have a thing for Nicki the twerker, too: http://hollywoodlife.com/2015/06/10/helsinki-cathedral-nicki-minaj-cutouts-pic-summer-up-tickets/
That looks blinking disgusting You can't polish a turd, as 'they' say, but neither should you plant a cone on one, either
Haha!! My missus is from Guisborough and she introduced me to Pacittos! Love the place - the rest of Redcar leaves a lot to be desired mind!!
Im sticking with minchelas. After all they were in sundetland. On the coast at seaburn. A walk to the ground. So all things considered.
The first vans I remember were Walls. They were solid blocks of ice cream. The first of the soft kind was possibly Notarianni in Crowtree Road at the top of the old bus station. Whippy was the one pretty much took over the vans.
