Crespo was good.

We have a tradition of signing poor strikers going back to Alan Mayes, Kevin Wilson and Robert Fleck
Crespo was good, its a shame he couldn't settle in England.
He scored the same amount of goals for us as Torres, yet had less than half the amount of appearances <laugh>

Torres - 110 apps 20 goals
Crespo - 48 apps 20 goals

Torres should hang his head in shame. Especially since Crespo wasn't even trying....he had no passion for English football at all and his head was in Italy.

I had completely forgot about Sheva, probably by choice!
Only seems to be strikers we have problems with, always strikers.

The good ones (Hasselbaink, Gudjohnsen, Drogba, Costa) are few and far between. And we even managed to **** up Costa (dont care what anyone says, Conte was just as much to blame as Costa in all that ****).
Hopefully Morata will earn a place on the good list, seems promising so far.

Weird isn't it.

I agree regarding Costa.

He's probably the difference between you guys coming 2nd/3rd and competing with City.

Crespo and Schev were my favourite foreign strikers and then you guys had to ruin it and get them!

I couldn't really like them after that.

Then you went and nicked Torres who thankfully was horrendous.

Football is a funny old game.

Francis Jeffers?
The dead fox in the box

Jeffers was awful. But to be fair, he looked like the real deal before we signed him. He came through the same academy as Micheal Owen and they were often touted as going on to have similar careers. Just shows how potential can turn out to be a crock of **** in the end.

I remember Arsene calling him his 'fox in the box'. <whistle>

Paulinio <yikes>
Look up his miss v Burnley in 2015. Then look at the spurs fans faces behind the goal.
<laugh>

Schevchenko?

Paulinho was one of the many flops that your lot bought during that season where you spunked the £85m up the wall you got for Bale.

To be fair though, there are rich pickings for expensive Spurs flops. What about Sergi Rebrov ? He cost you something like £12m at the time which was something like the equivalent of £90m by todays standards.

Also Pavlyuchenko <laugh>

He was wicked at Dortmund...I wanted him at Spurs.

I'd have to put Soldado as a flop..massive flip flop.

A quote by Klopp when he singed him....

He looks terrible in Jose's style of play.

Been out for over a year now... but he's supposed to be back in training. He's pivotal to the way Poch plays, one of our hardest workers when it comes to closing players down got an eye for goal too. He's not a flop...he took a while to settle down but then he was great, then he got injured.

<rofl>

No one mentioned Bebe yet. Bizarre transfer and wow what a flop.

He had a result though considering his life before Utd. Poor ****er was homeless, thanks to Utd he now lives in a mansion (almost) <laugh>

Ade Akinbadbuy is out most notorious flop.

Followed swiftly by Matt Mills. We paid 5m for him (at the time club record at a time where Championship clubs were spending half of that on top strikers). He was utterly dreadful.

Our most current flop is Musa. 16m, at the time club record and he's scored like 3 goals.

Di Maria at Man United was disappointing.
Always liked him at Real, was looking forward to seeing him in the PL, even if it was with the Mancs.
Falcao as well, for us and United.

Damp squib :(
