... for Gillingham according to Parkinson.

Whatever we think of them it can't hurt to have as many options as possible.

I can't see either starting but theyd make a good double sub if we need a goal second half imo.

Yeah you're right it's good to have options. If we're going to be playing a lot of long balls at least Wyke can win a header.

I would play Benji upfront with one of them the 1st half and Benji with the other one for the 2nd half.

I would leave Grigg at home and not bother with him. Granted our style (???????????????) doesnt suit him but how many chances has the bloke had.

Still good to hear we have players returning. Any news on Gucci?

I'm genuinely worried about how much stock PP appears to be putting in Wyke. His tactics(?) are industrial at best, I can't see Wyke being good enough to win the headers and hold it up long enough for our pedestrian midfield to meander up to him. Happy to be proven wrong, I just don't think Wyke has that in the locker.
PP wanted to sign him but we beat him to it.... Will be interesting to see how it works out

Neither can I but he'll be better at it than Grigg and with Watmore and Gooch playing we'll have players with the athleticism to support him.

Hate long ball football at the best of times and these aren't those.

Someone was on totalsport last night and mentioned this.

We had our team playing in Parkinson's way against Tranmere - exactly how he wanted to play. And those (majority) same players - with the "best player in this division" (according to a lot of press people etc.) comes back and we get worse somehow.

The energy has disappeared from the team. I can;t for one second think that Parkinson's tactics worked for one game then completely disappeared afterwards - surely those players need to stand up and be counted.

I hope you're right about Parkinson wanting to play the type of football we did against Tranmere, I've not been since Southend so I'm relying on second hand information about the team being instructed to play it long at every opportunity.

100% ABSOLUTELY SPOT ON MCB.

Trouble is the midfield dont venture that far up the pitch to collect knock ons
