I'll be surprised if Putin doesn't nuke Ukraine at some point.
 
He’s been saying “ looking for stabilisation in Donbas- accept transition will take time” Could we hope he’s backing down a bit , and these words are to make him look victorious to the Russian people?
 
If he goes near the nuclear button there'll be an immediate response by NATO ( USA) . They've already been told the details of the response, so it'll be an ultimatum, 'back off now or we launch'. It'll be conventional weapons, but enough to take out major Russian facilities and infrastructure. I'd imagine this will be all their forces in Ukraine, all their air power anywhere near their borders, and all of the black sea fleet and Sevastopol base, as well as a major strike on any Russian troops and hardware in Belarus. The USA won't **** around with this one, they've got too much invested in this campaign to fail. Biden is already talking the talk.

A man like Putin is deluded beyond belief at this point. His ego is too big to allow him to ever back down. I'm expecting some kind of damaging attacks, though probably not nuclear.

I'll be surprised if any of his nukes still work. The problem with a kleptocracy is that everyone is stealing from the pot at every level. Between leaving the bank and getting to the people maintaining and upgrading, there'll be nowt left to do the actual work.

Strictly speaking the conditions he put on not using nukes have already been broken. By his own definition and action in annexing those areas, the Ukrainians are attacking Russian soil. And he's done **** all because he can't.

unbelievable that he thinks that the world would understand though that bombing civilian apartment blocks while they sleep is ok under a special military operation. Rules are “ I can hit you , but you can’t hit me”

This is some response from Russia. I'm not sure the Ukrainians will think putting the Crimea bridge out of action for half a day is worth what is happening to them right now.

Is it proved that Ukraine bombed the bridge or was it a Russian lorry or train carrying explosive material that blew up.
Russia dare not admit it was their cock-up and perhaps Ukraine thinks it is good to claim to pass over?
