I can't believe this was approved by Putin. First public sign of division in the Kremlin? Military sick of Putin's orders ?

 

It is interesting that Turkish President Erdogan opposes Sweden and Finland joining NATO, linking it with NATO making a mistake letting Greece join; 'They made a mistake about NATO with Greece before, the administrations before us... we, as Turkey, do not want to make a second mistake on this issue.' (see YouTube link below).

This is a but much considering the fact that both Greece and Turkey were admitted to NATO on the same date - the Protocol to the North Atlantic Treaty on the Accession of Greece and Turkey was signed in London on 22nd October 1951 and both countries officially became members on 18th February 1952.

Erdogan wouldn't be buggering about like this if Turkey still had a land border with Russia, let alone the USSR, so I think that NATO should call his bluff by telling him that as he already objects to one NATO member and is the only NATO leader to be opposed to Sweden and Finland joining, they invite him to withdraw Turkey from NATO.

Came upon this - what it's like when you are in a Russian ammunition dump and are being hit by a Ukrainian artillery strike then the dump starts to explode

 

That reminds me of when I put about 70 old spray cans and a broken old sheet of asbestos roofing in a 45 gallon drum on the farm Eee! we did have fun when were young.

I still think if we had supported Gorbachev, Russia and Great Britain would now be part of the EU and the World we live in would have been a much better place because of it.
