Had a think about this and it is just possible that the message wasn't aimed at children at the aiming point, but in response to something the Russians had been told about children being killed by Ukrainian artillery fire in the Donbas area. I'm not saying this is definite, and I'm definitely not saying there was any such losses in Donbas, only that this is a possibility and another explanation for the wording on that missile.
Yes, but it is thought that 'for thle children' might be being used as a rallying cry in the same way that in WW2 the U.S. forces used 'Pearl Horbor'
As much as I hate Russia for what they've been doing and, especially after that strike at the train station which turned my stomach... I'm struggling to believe that the Russians would write that on a Missile. It also seems after the Missile exploded and broke up it was them words that stayed perfectly on it. Like other videos I've seen going around, including some on this thread where the West are using atrocities from previous wars and passing them off as Russian crimes. Propaganda machine is in full swing.
Russia has warned Finland and Sweden against joining Nato, arguing the move would not bring stability to Europe. Moscow has been clear that it opposes any potential enlargement of the alliance. Mr Peskov warned the bloc "is not that kind of alliance which ensures peace and stability, and its further expansion will not bring additional security to the European continent". Last week Mr Peskov said that Russia would have to "rebalance the situation" with its own measures were Sweden and Finland to join Nato. And in February Maria Zakharova, Russia's foreign ministry spokeswoman, warned of "military and political consequences" if the countries joined the bloc. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-61066503
They think they are in charge and can bully other nations into submission. Truth is they are probably right given the way NATO are pussy footing around them. We are literally **** scared of the tossers. It’s pretty pathetic really. We need to call his bluff, open up applications for NATO membership to any nation not currently at war with Russia and see what the prick does once anyone interested has joined up.
they are seriously misguided if they believe they can carry out fresh 'operations' against other countries who want to join NATO. They're being humiliated on their own doorstep by Ukraine, yet they still threaten to punish the likes of Finland. I think Putin is slowly dragging Russia back to the dark ages, no wonder China and USA are sitting back watchig it happen.
Think if true, pushes us closer to an all out ww3 since Cuba. Don't see how nato can do nothing, it's a red line.
These first months of this War have shown us quite a lot about Russia Military Capabilities. And so far, they have failed to impress. They outnumber and outgun the Ukrainians massivley on the ground and have total superiority in the air. Despite this they have failed to take key targets. In fact it looks like a repeat of their misguided attempt to conquer Afghanistan. And IF by some misguided chance Russia decides to mount the same sort of invasion against, particularly, Sweden, then the majortity of the European Nations are going to have to join in, whether or not these two have joined Nato. Both are EU Countries, and while this is not a Military organisation, it does mean strong ties and one flag. The level of support, for example in airpower, will make the Military help, grudgingly given to Ukraine look petty. And there will be Naval support too. The Russian Navy is said to be rather dilapidated, for the most part. I suspect that this announcement is for 'home consumption'.
