Duncs problem is he focuses only on the black crime, as that is the one that the media portrays most (make of that what you will).

There's a lot of chavvy (and some not chavvy) bastards out there carrying knives and stabbing also.
123 murders and alt least 100 of the victims and nearly all of the murderers are brown people .

And I'm being generous the names and photos are there for everyone to see.

It's true that you don't know how you'll act in a situation like that until you face it and you could act differently on different days.

I always assumed that if someone robbed me that I'd just hand everything over but when it happened I managed to think calmly and only lose a small amount.

If I had had a few more beers though there's a good chance I would have got myself hurt, or if I was feeling down I might have just handed things over perhaps. You just don't know.

In my opinion when you face a situation like that you're brain will work quicker than you act in assessing all the factors and then you'll go on instinct.

There is no be all and end all. Nobody knows how they will react.

<laugh> ok hard nut.

you're talking to wrong person here. if there's one daft **** on this board that would probably help, it would probably be me, and even i'm not daft enough to say i would step in. sometimes it's ****ing stupid to be a hero, so less of the bravado man.

No bravado with me, its jut confidence to get the job done. I would not just run in and help without evaluating the risk.

Yes, I was in the area, it was a Stan sock account

Let me get this right. You challenged somebody on a football forum to a fight and named a place where you wanted to meet up for a rumble. And then you actually went there ? Or you were just somewhere near there i.e. behind your keyboard in your house ?

I did say, from the start I would not get involved if they had a knife

But this is the point people are making. How would you know if they had got a knife ? These situations spark off in a matter of seconds, you generally don't have a chance to assess whether they are carrying a blade. And the fight or flight reaction will kick in and you'll either jump in or take a step back.
