I'll be unfurling my own banner for less than 4th. Champs League football or bust this year. Arsenal - sh!t. Spurs - one man team, about to lose the one man. Man U - no Ferguson. Liverpool - see Spurs. Everton - no Moyes, probably no Baines or Fellaini either!

Straight fight between the financial powerhouse of Southampton, Les Magpies and Swansea for third and fourth. Don't let anyone tell you different. Best season EVER.

At this stage of the season I wouldn't settle for anything. I want first!! Realistic, no, but that has to be our aim. Can't stand all this settling for something. No, I want the best and in this case it is first!

When you actually look at how they come up with the placings, we might be 8th, but it looks a season of attrition ahead. A country mile behind the top six and as close to relegation as seventh. 47 points ain't very clever. We have to be looking for better than that otherwise we're amongst the also rans making up the numbers.

What's remarkable is that they didn't need a compex algorithm. All they needed to do was go on Transfermarkt.com. Their placings are more or less the same as TM's squad values. Simples.

I'm afraid that's where we are, and will remain to be until some worthwhile investment is made.

Failing in the league 'because of Europe' is a bullshit excuse.

We needed investment at the beginning of last season, it never came, we failed and are now below where we were when Chris Hughton was sacked.

Experience indeed.

<laugh> Go on then I'll settle for 8th.

I'd snap your hands off for fecking 10th! We were nearly relegated and should not be looking any further than a solid season. We're middle of the road as a club.

Finishing 8th in the Prem would be great - especially with a visit to Wembley in a cup final to go with it. :)
