    It could just be me and it's only based on body language, but the England ladies manager looks like she's spent her life making up excuses for failure.

    Talented!! They beat the most successful Womens team in history the Dick,Kerr Ladies FC on every occasion they met them. Obviously you know nothing about this
    Preston based ladies team that on Boxing Day 1920 played St Helens ladies in front of a crowd of
    53,000 at a packed out Goodison Park. The FA were so scared about the rise in
    popularity of Womens football that in 1921 they banned womens football from being played on Football League pitches.
    The rise of the Darlington ladies was inspired by Darlington AFC who had their most successful period in their history being promoted to the old Div 2 in 1925. They survived for 2 years at those dizzy heights and had a great FA Cup run too.
