That's alright then?

It comes down to culture. Dog is a delicacy is some cultures. Granted, bears aren't usually a pet but are the end of the day, it as just as much right to live is life as a dog or a human (opposite ends of the scale)

I just knew you would bring food into the argument somehow. You are just like that Greez fella, may he rest in peace<ghost><ghost><ghost>

More Russia Phobia, that bear would have the best of care, well looked after, top vets top food, and no doubt the dude, as do almost all people who work closely with the same animals all of the time, cares a lot about that animal.

This is a sad animal in London Zoo, Britain stuck in the 1900? no, but Zoos are sick as **** prisons, selective morality :bandit:

And if you believe that you a gullible fool. Have you seen how they train bears, its not pretty. Bears don't train like Dogs, it takes force.

As for Zoo's that a whole different grey area.

Are you by any chance Russian? Or just anti-BBC?
The BBC may not be perfect and there are lots of things I hate about it, but I've seen Russian State controlled media and that is still following the 1960s line.

I retract my previous comments. If I'm on the same side of a debate as Sisu then I'm obviously on the wrong side :bandit:

Being fair some zoos are involved in legit and important conservation work

Sadly many of those also combine that with keeping animals in inappropriate enclosures and deprive them of their fully natural, instinctual behaviours because of that causing both mental and physical distress and illness

Then there are those that just exploit animals for our entertainment

Performing animals like dancing bears, monkeys, elephants, lions and tigers is just depraved and the methods used to 'train' them usually brutal and cruel, compounding this are the disgusting, squalid, neglectful conditions such animals are usually kept in. Some zoos just practice a sanitised, sterilised version of this

The worst Zoo I have ever seen in the UK was Dudley Zoo, don't know if it is still going. The cages were Victorian and the whole set up was like a prison for animals.

The best probably Chester Zoo. Most decent zoos do not have polar bears as they need vast areas to roam and go mad in enclosed spaces usually just pacing up and down and shaking there heads constantly.

England begin their 2018 World Cup campaign against Tunisia in Volgograd

Still interested in going to the World Cup in Russia this summer?

The latest ticket sales phase opened on Wednesday and figures so far show the appetite among England fans is not what it was four years ago.

With 30,711 tickets allocated so far, England fans are only the 11th most numerous of those making the trip from other countries.

During the second sales window which closed on 3 April, there were more tickets taken up by fans from China and India, neither represented at the finals, than from England.

By February 2014, 51,222 tickets had already been allocated to England fans heading to Brazil, making them sixth on the list of countries.

Tickets are allocated by Fifa according to demand. So why the relative lack of interest? Apathy about the football or worries about politics or crowd violence? And are fans' fears misplaced?

Apathy towards the England team?

England's record at the past six World Cups

I don't mind a zoo or a steak or whatever.

I ain't claiming any morality here.

it's a reflection on the keeper, farmer or whoever if they treat animals badly.

happy animals are tasty animals ;)

No surprise there. Dudley itself is a ****ing ****hole <ok>

England manager Gareth Southgate is weighing up whether to include Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold, 19, and Fulham winger Ryan Sessegnon, 17, in his provisional 35-man World Cup squad. (Telegraph)

When's the thing happening when everyone gets given an international WC team on here and changes their pic ??

That's about the only thing that will draw some interest from me in it

I mentioned it the other day but MITO is too lazy to sort it out

2 teams each? We could cobble together 16 of us surely

probably.

we could have rankings so you get one **** team and one half decent side and so.whoever gets the worst side has something to cheer for.

that at least is something. coyld have some points system I suppose like the Eurovision that is utterly bizarre so that if your two teams do well you might win overall even if you don't have champions.

or

well it could be whoever gets Germany wins it

Just use the FIFA rankings. Top ranking and worst ranking together and so on
