Great equaliser.

That was never a pen, soft as ****, it was seen late and ball to hand.

Can't believe that was given. Two soft goals for France. Really sort.
 
Penalty all day long Mex. Brought his hand down to shepherd the ball out, Meadowlark Lemon style. Didn't think think it was a foul for the first, though. Decent free kick from France, one of those that goes for you sometimes. Suspicion of offside though? Well worked from Croatia for the equaliser, cracking strike.

I agree to disagree, lot of pundits don't think it wa a pen.

Shame that penalty will take the headlines as it's been a good game .
 
Despite the dispute over some of the goals, France scored enough goals to wipe away any doubts about the result. I would love to be in Paris tonight.
 
Thing is with the penalty - I thought it was harsh but you can bet if it hadn't been given some would have said the ref has missed a handball.

Bit like the dive for the first goal..

Just shows even with VAR nothing will be perfect and I think we have to understand that.

Handballs are so debatable anyway..

Like OFH said glad France got a couple of more goals although Lloris did his best to let Croatia back in it - maybe felt sorry.

Overall an excellent tournament full of goals and drama.
 
The penalty was correct imo - look at how he twisted his hand - he knew what he was doing. The free kick was just a dive. Lloris equalled it up by giving them one back

Hats off to Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, President of Croatia. She attended every Croatia match at the World Cup, travelled in economy class and sat with the fans in the stadium. She refused to take any pay for her days not at work. Now that’s leadership.
