World cup thread.

What heartbreak for Japan but credit to Belgium - fighting till the very end and not settling for extra time.
 
very sad for Japan but the result was inevitable...first one of those in this world cup lol.

Not sure i'm looking forward to tomorrow...in fact, i'm dreading it! All this talk of getting to the final, it's like the script is written, we'll go out to Columbia..

But in reality we will win 3-1 ;)

My 14 year old niece said "anything is possible but we are talking about England". It's taken brainwashing to a whole new level <laugh>

Goal kind of summed up the game .

As it's Sweden if we play them sure Gary Lineker will share how he was "shamed" by GT in being subbed when they beat us in Euro 92 when level with Bobby Charlton.

Never seemed to like the great man ever since !

We all want to win - but I bet most of us expect us to lose to Columbia. We have lost any faith in England doing well. I heard somewhere that we have not won a competitive knock out match since 2006 and have won only 6 since 1966. Is that true?

Well I'm confident. Yes true (the stats) but equally look at teams that have not done any better. Some big names there. And we are only talking about 5 tournies.

Leo they'll be a big smile on your face later. Just have faith. And why? Because I think at last we have a professional manager with a focus on detail. And he has put a support team in place second to none. C'mon you 3 lions <cheers><cheers><cheers>

Still after we beat Columbia tonight we will take revenge on Sweden, Croatia will be a tough win and in the final we have already lulled Belgium into a false sense of security so we will marmelize them. :)
