Someone said recently that all of the goals in this World Cup are set-pieces, penalties and screamers.
Hard to argue with that, especially if you're using this game as evidence.

South Korea had a pair of tap-ins against Germany, so we're due one hitting the post and then rebounding across the line via a befuddled defender's backside soon...

Imagine being an Argentinian goalkeeper who failed to make this squad.
You'd be sitting at home watching it just thinking, "Really? REALLY?", every time they play! <laugh>

Reactions: Spur of the Moment
Argentina destroyed by Mbappe....

But what’s with all the subs being allowed to run on the pitch at every goal? Been happening even through the first round.?

Genuine question: have Argentina ever had a genuinely good goalkeeper?

Brazil can say they've had some (Taffarel, Dida, Alisson), Paraguay had Chilavert, Chile and Uruguay have both had top-level goalkeepers over the years, but Argentina always seem to have a weak link in that area.

Otamendi/Rojo/Fazio v Mbappe was always a mismatch.
None are comfortable with quick players running at them and none can tackle*
Poor management to ignore such a weakness.
