So Ronaldo or Messi then?![]()
No wonder V! A! R! is the new Aussie chant. I thought video replays were supposed to take away these injustices, not create them.Denmark are the team VAR screwed. So a player not just rugby tackled in the box, but thrown so hard across it it's lucky he didn't hurt himself and someone else in the ensuing collision isn't a pen, but a hand being yanked out of the way that grazes a perfectly harmless header is--plus a yellow card.
In the words of John McEnroe: "So the white stuff is out now?"
Typical, I missed the match as Lady C dragged me off to see Ocean's 8.
Do not make the same mistake. It's bad. I mean really bad.

Denmark need a point against France or they are out if the Aussie beat Peru by more than one goal (and probably even if they win by one goal)
Looking at scenarios here. If the Aussies win 1-0 and Denmark lose 2-1 (quite possible) then Australia and Denmark have identical records and as they drew can't be separated by head to head result. What happens then? Not a coin toss I hope.

Let me put it this way: the writing's so bad, the film's title actually gives away one of the main plot twists.Feel for you, mate, the trailer looked tragic enough, can't imagine what 90 mins/ 2 hours of it must have been like.
I do think the players are generally behaving better for fear of being caught on a replay though. But I agree with you that inconsistency hasn't been improved. I still think that is at least partly down to the way the Laws are written though there is bound to be some uncertainty. I didn't think the Croatian 'stamp' was even a foul.....he was looking at the ball and put his foot down in a place where the other player's leg had just been planted. For me, VAR confirms that most decisions that were wrong before it was introduced, weren't as a result of officials not seeing the incident but not understanding the realities of the game or the laws of the game. Adding 3 extra officials and more time doesn't solve that problem. If that's a penalty for Autralia against Denmark, Harry Kane's not been fouled and the Croatian 'stamp' was a yellow card, then there's no hope for the thing and it should be ditched today.
Peru looked fairly decent against France and Denmark and look as though they will match Australia physically and that should get them at least a draw. I think Denmark should just scrape through but other than Eriksen and to a lesser extent, Schmeichel, there's not a lot there at all.
VAR overturns a Neymar penalty correctly!!! Wonders will never cease.
I take it all back. That was wonderful. Just looking at the cheating ****'s face was a joy.

That's the only way they know. Costa Rica showed glimses of how to play against them, route one. Unfortunately, we would need Crouch or Deeney to try that.2-0. Neymar. Brazil haven't stopped attacking since taking the lead. Probably not how most sides would react.
