I'm completely confused about what constitutes a penalty. Mexico don't get one when Hummels is all over the attacker and the commentators say something like there wasn't enough contact for a penalty. In other matches the defender touches the attacker who goes down and the commentators say that the attacker felt the contact so was entitled to go down so it was a penalty. Maybe you can only get a penalty if it's a really good dive?
There have been some slow, ponderous, unimaginative performances by Argentina, France and Germany and some athletic and energetic performances by some of the lesser lights. Today, Mexico looked like Liverpool in the way that they cut Germany to ribbons on the break.
I think MP's aiming to get some more of that into our play and it's why we're being linked to Martial, Pulisic and Zaha and thinking of dropping Chritian Eriksen deeper and buying someone like Grealish. That pace and speed of counter is hard to defend against if you commit to it.
Germany/Mexico summary

You could well be right. However, I think we’re gonna have to start turning our attention elsewhere when it comes to Martial, if this saga continues much longer. They expect us to sell Toby, but are then saying they aren’t prepared to sell to a rival.
Because they are not an apex club, and therefore cannot :
1. resist the unsettling by a big fish
2. offer commensurate wages nor opportunities for
silverware
The laws are completely unclear on what constitutes a foul.
