What I am about to opine will probably be heresy but I really don't get why Rooney is in the team as he doesn't contribute very much and always looks very lazy. I would replace him with one of our youngsters.
He looked right out of it last night....
I don't think we looked that good against really a lower rate team.... lots of possession that is all...

Regarding the flag....Yup, from Stone just outside Aylesbury. I don't think I know those guys but they're not a million miles away from my part of the world. Certainly I've referred over there and the local team was unusually top heavy with 'Orns as I recall. (not that that did them any favours on a match day).
Your views maybe heresy Scully, but they are spot on. Totally overated at international level and can never be considered as world class. I expect that will be his 3rd World Cup in which he hasn't scored.
