World cup fred

Some cracking ties in the next round.

Brazil v Japan the pick of the bunch.

Norway v Ivory Coast
Netherlands v Morocco
Ecuador v Mexico
Croatia v Colombia*

(*if finished 2nd)

Thought we were pretty decent..

Rashford particularly made some excellent runs and the long balls through to him were great but our end product from wide areas was poor.

Jude was superb though and won the game with a couple of moments of quality.

Bring in the the R32!

I don't think the result was bad, but if we'd been that wasteful and complacent against a decent team in the first half, we'd have been chasing the game. We're through though and it should be an easier job to progress than if we'd finished 2nd.
Bellingham is class and Kane scored a good goal so I can't grumble too much.
Had a knee operation today so the meds are helping me stay calm despite the game being a bit of a slow start :emoticon-0103-cool:

Didn't see the game but sounds like Bellingham stepped up and saved us from a horrific result?

How did Rogers get on? Know lots of people were calling for him to play.

Now the tournament actually starts for real.

So we kick off at 5pm on Wednesday? Don't think I can watch that :(

Gutted that Netherlands Morocco is the middle of the night but think I can watch the other ones which interest me.

Going to be odd watching England at 9am after all the evening games! Netherlands Morocco will be at 6pm for me.

Unsurprisingly Steve Clarke has stepped down for Scotland. Really disappointing tournament for them particularly given the opportunity to progress in 3rd.
