Yeah, me too. We've all known for years that Fifa is rotten, the PL is rotten, greed is killing the game etc...

...but **** that, it's the World Cup

So ..... who’s going to be in the semis or the final? Any upsets (apart from England progressing to the next round)? And players to watch?
I need to work out a schedule of must watch games - especially as I have a girlfriend who’s not even vaguely interested!

I don’t think I will have the time to watch more than the England games.

But I look forward to watching the highlights each day :)

Belgium to the semi finals. When they play us they will realise just how fortunate they are and the kick on massively.

Haven't looked into this at all (and a quick google would probably give me my answer) but someone told me the other day that if England get through their group they either play Brazil or Germany in the first knockout round, is that true?

The person who told me said it didn't matter if England won the group or not, but I guess that would mean that Brazil and Germany were in the same group which sounds wrong as both surely were top seeds. He was chatting ****

As for the World Cup I will watch it, don't really support an international team so will just hope whoever I bet on/get in whatever sweepstakes do well.

    No.

We would meet either first or second from Group H, which is Poland, Senegal, Colombia, and Japan. We could possibly meet Germany or Brazil in the quarters.

I think we meet a team from group H so most likely be Poland or Columbia.

Group H is a really interesting one, and very difficult to call. Would love Japan to have a good tournament.

Good thing I am half German. I normally get to enjoy partisan support until at least the semis.

Russians are probably exempt from those punishments.

Joe Hart won't be included in the World Cup squad.

There could be a lot of innocent people getting their lives ruined by the corrupt Russian bill.

British embassy will be powerless, and Russian government could encourage it just to get revenge for the Salisbury fiasco.
