The Curucao vs Ecuador game today was the best scoreless game I have witnessed for many a year. Well worth a watch.
It's not as though Clarke doesn't have experienced CB alternatives available to him -- Scott McKenna, John Souttar, Dominic Hyam, all of whom had good seasons for their clubs. Kieran Tierney has CB listed as his secondary position and was used as such at Arsenal, never mind Celtic. Clarke is Scotland's biggest problem; who else would have Hanley as first name on his team sheet, or favour Lyndon Dykes over McBurnie?

In the Croatia game our CD pairing, Stones and Konsa, made just one tackle between them. Not quite a stat to gladden the heart. At Man C. this year Stones has been secondary to Guehi in Peps team selection, and he knows a bit about football. Guehi had to come into the team against Ghana.
