Ingerland v New Zealand 9pm ITV

Mass hysteria when half a reserve team jogs to a 1-0 win. Someone will walk off with a hamstring strain. A player who obviously won’t be close to the starting XI when it matters will do one good thing and suddenly be talked about as deserving to start (Mainoo, possibly Madueke).

Probably lose 1-0 to a Chris Wood thunder bastd header then radio phone ins be wanting Tuchel out for not taking Maguire

Someone out there is an England draw with Croatia away from drinking three pints and calling Jamie O’Hara, wearing a Tuchel mask, to say they should sack him before the second game and get Redknapp in.

Could be Alex Scott, who isn't in the world cup squad yet is, weirdly, playing tonight.

Great plan that.

It won't be Madueke anyway. He's there to carry the cones.

It'll be an odd world cup.

Way too many groups and completely meh group matches.

But a 32 team knock out stage sounds proper world cup.

The 'extended' knock-out stage is a huge positive for me ... think we could see some proper upsets in this tournament..

Did some predictor thing for bantZ from group stage all way to final and got Brazil winning it

Brazil v Germany
France v Argentina

Brazil v Argentina final

Brazil winning

No idea when the cut-off date is for not replacing injuries but I guess keeping him warm makes sense if they’re worried about one of the midfielders. The pitch looks awful so it might just be a case of not risking players they actually need. If someone’s hamstring has to explode then he’s better cannon fodder.

Madueke’s job is to come on with fifteen minutes to go at 1-0 down, beat the full-back once and shank the cross out of play.

How did you get rid of Spain? ...

... also can't see how Brazil beat the Argies ...

Class game this. Set it to the more difficult mode and you try and remember how good players were at previous world cups. Build a team and it simulates results. Hours of fun.

Yeah I'm probably way off the mark tbh

and regarding Spain I had the Argies beating them... more to do with aclimitisation than anything else.

Brazil beating Argie cos:
Brazilians not won a WC in 24 years...big call for Argentina to retain trophy...has that ever happened?

Yeh but ...

Pele
Romario
Fat Ronaldo
Neymar Jnr

.... Richarlison <whistle>

Richarlison decent for Brazil... played well last world cup too...plus Neymar going out with a bang imo.

Pele over rated

Good actor though

Mate - I was 10 when the 1970 world Cup took place - Pele was phenomenal- as were that Brazilian team generally... touch, vision, timing ... and intelligence...

Was also luck enough to see the Dutch team with Cryuff in '74...
