What's the betting that Trump is going to barge the winning captain out of the way so that he can be centre stage when the trophy is lifted ?

Watched that loads times. Being there would be worth the entry fee on its own init?

Still the best ever for me.

For raw skill and flair, Maradona is unrivalled as the GOAT.

The dirty little **** <laugh>

Hard to believe the man in this video had years of cocaine addiction. Shilton still fuming about being out-jumped by a midget somewhere in his chair right now.

Yeah I love that video, Maradona was a moment in life, part of football history and legends. Always remember him being sought out and interviewed long after the hand of god, and you could see that little smile on his face that said it's what fate wanted. The bad boy of football but life would have had it no different, nor would I have wanted it to. Died at 60 but will live on in memory long after we've all been forgotten.

There's some great footage, I think from the last world cup, where the camera is on Maradona in the crowd after Argentina had scored and he's giving the middle finger to somebody in the tier underneath him <laugh>

It was Russia 2018

Argentina scored in injury time. I think that was the same game where some Argie defender saved a certain goal with his hands and Nigeria missed the pen

Then went on to lose.

Funny footage though <laugh>

You think some kids might be sitting down and watching the world cup for their first time, and still remember it in 50 years from now.

Not sure, maybe.

Can tell you now I remember the 1978 one though. It's only as an adult you become jaded by it all.

I reckon this one will be excellent once it's the 32 team knock out.

The groups will be a bit **** though. As will the England hyperbole.

First Betbuilders full of players I’ve never heard of are on. Sithole for a card and two fouls is the banker. Israel Reyes is the name of the tournament so far.

I’d rather they just said they don’t have a clue who these South African players are and skip over it than remember two lines on the fact sheet they were given and rolling out some cliches about being up for it.
