Foden has won 6 league titles, 3 FA Cups, 5 League Cups, a Champions League, a UEFA Super Cup and a FIFA Club World Cup. Unlike most players his age, he's already married and has three kids, and he earns more than £200,000 a week. His career has already been an incredible success and he's a lot more advanced in his personal life than the average 25-year-old these days. It doesn't really surprise me that he's lost focus, there's not a lot for him to prove or gain out of sacrificing his health or private life now.I’d have taken Palmer, Wharton and Gibbs-White but I haven’t seen the actual squad yet so don’t know who I’d replace or if those three deserve a place more than who has been picked. If Henderson is still getting picked then I’m lost for words. To be fair, Palmer had one good season and he got put into world-class territory by some pundits way too early on the back of that. Foden has seemingly peaked too early in his career too.
England only have Harry Kane and maybe Jude Bellingham as truly world-class players. Everyone else is either a tier or two below that.
