Anyone planning on going?

I live 2 miles from the NRG stadium, in Houston and to be honest I wouldn’t walk to the end of our street to watch a single game. It’ll be Americanised beyond belief and that goes for Canada and Mexico too.

I just looked at prices for the NRG opening games - Germany V Curaçao 500 quid, Portugal opening round closer to a 1000 quid. This is for an indoor 90000 seater stadium.

It’s going to be a hot and humid spectacle with Taylor swift like pricing from beginning to end. If you are going prepare to be fleeced.

The ticket prices for this World Cup are a joke, the starting prices are double any previous World Cup and they're using dynamic pricing, so it's likely many tickets will be sold at much higher prices than those currently listed.

If you are lucky enough to get a standard ticket for the final, they start at over £1,500 and go up to over £5,000, with corporate tickets up to £25,000.

So far, my son has tickets for two group games in Dallas, but very annoyingly not the England one, so he'll obviously try and get one when he's there.

I was thinking of going and have made enquiries for a 10 day stay. Then might change it to go to NYC on 26th June and stay for 4 nights in Manhattan, then trying to get a ticket (just like OLM junior) to watch England v Panama on the 27th in New Jersey. I suppose there could be some available on the day, but not sure of price if the stadium is only a quarter full, or if any touts will be selling on the walkup. I could always say I saw England in world cup 2026, though after a stiff drink and a rethink I might kick it into the long grass. And yes. It will be hot in the US in June/July. I once went to Dallas in the middle of June and wondered why I was the only human being on the street. At about 2pm I found out, big style.

On the WC final I saw that TUI are advertising a package starting at £1,499 for a ticket, with hotel accommodation in New York.

How FIFA can allow all this is a disgrace. Can’t they see what they are doing.

you only need to look at superbowl ticket prices

Have you got a link to the TUI packages, I can't find anything other than their 2026 Socca World Cup packages, which are a different tournament?
This package is advertised on a chalk board in the entrance of the TUI store in the Kingswood shopping Centre....I was in there on Sunday and made a comment to the girl at the counter about it...I can't recall what she said. The disclaimer is that this is the Starting price, probably not what anyone will pay when the US hotel tax, and resort fees etc..etc...are inserted.

£1,499 doesn't even cover the cost of the cheapest available ticket at face value, so there's no way they can offer a ticket, with travel and a hotel on top.
