Neymar not at the races, spent most of the game rolling around crying, he is just back from a bad injury to be fair. Brazil were excellent first half and should have been 2 or 3 up, took their foot off the gas and the Swiss defence showing why they have such a good record.
You've sure changed your tune from 4-years ago! I wouldn't count them out of it yet, but they are really up against it with Sweden and South Korea both very difficult rivals. Germans I know here have been pretty realistic and sporting about it, a few of them knew damn well beforehand that this squad had problems. Löw had already dropped a massive clanger before the tournament started? I've lived here many years, and I see no need to call them ****Krauts, that would not be right, and at my age I have more reason to say that than any of you baby boomers who've had it oh so ****ing easy for 40-years or so. I'm off before I get chucked out, finally! (One German newspaper has already said "we are world champions for another 3-weeks" ).
Germany have gone stale, Brazil look a bit light, Portugal not good enough, Argentina with Rojo and Otamendi at the back i cant see it, France look disjointed, England to the qf then will need luck. Mexico, Croatia and Uruguay will do well as outsiders. Spain with ball possession and Costa up top look the winners to me.
Just watching this documentary about Engand managers over the years. Crikey I'd managed to banish from the memory some of the absolute shockers we've had. But the good ol Beeb have packaged them all into an hour long package of misery. And we've not had that fat twat Sam yet.
Sven has to be the worse England manager ever.An absolute spoofer if there ever was one.At least Keegan admitted he didn't have the bottle for it.Taylor wasn't great but the media didn't help his cause one bit.
taylor didn't have the worst record , luckily big sam got sacked before he could start wrecking the team !
It was brilliant, i loved it, thats what it is all about, but it was a gift of a goal from a silly foul. It should never have came about from the spanish point of view as the other 2 as well.
so far the only bets ive put on are Uruguay/Cavani 250/1 for a few pounds and a ton on Denmark 6/4 which was 90 minutes of pure hell
horrid kind of bets to endure , at least with racing its over in a couple minutes ! i've backed uruguay , but hope they are a slow burner ,as they really struggled in opening game against a poor side
I though Terry Venables was a good England manager but he got sacked for something, can't remember what
I think you're right. Never had a better manager since though - unless the current one is (hopefully)
