Enjoying the world cup. Starting to get into it now England are out. I'm still fuming over KP's omission from the side and loved seeing England get dumped out. Hate to say it as I love cricket and followed England very closely since I was a kid, always backing them until the bitter end. Brendon Taylor's knock yesterday was immense. Hoping Ireland can beat Pakistan today.

I wonder why it is so dead here. Especially for the world cup. Wasn't the cricket section pretty active on the original 606 or am I imagining it? I wonder where everyone went? Is there a particular cricket forum that's super active?

The European champs have set a target for Pakistan. Probably not good enough to qualify for the next phase... It probably won't rain now.

The Windies have won.and are in pole position despite having been destroyed by the euro champs.

Pakistan won by 7 wickets. Sharfraz got his ton... But it took him all day. The European champs come unstuck on the world stage.

Being the best in the continent is no real comfort.

Pakistan were so much in control they could afford to waste about 5 overs to let that guy get his ton, Umar Akmal was blocking everything, I was willing him on to go for a big 6 just to see the reaction of yer man wanting the ton.

For a while I thought they were ****ing about to try and screw over the Windies.

Ireland lacked in the bowling line up to really threaten. On pitches like that, Boyd Rankin might've helped... But who knows. It was his choice to try and compete for a worse team.

Pakistan's reward for 3rd is Australia.

The Windies have got New Zealand. I'm sure they will be happier, although I wouldn't back them to win. Should be plenty of runs.

I stuck money on South Africa and India to win it, India were 10/1 at the start of the tournament, I thought that was mental?!? Australia are rightfully favs to win it but will hopefully slip up somewhere along the line.

    10/1 is mental.

They will beat Bangladesh easily enough, then luck plays a part. Their semi is a day/night game, as is the Final, in Sydney, then Melbourne. The toss could be crucial.
