Have to say Taff, and its 100% heresy on here, but...in my opinion Sir Stan was overated. I never saw him in his prime (nobody did due to WW2), but I did see him play.

Yes he was a tricky winger, but again that really was it. Again in my opinion, Tom Finney was by far the better and less hyped player.

Thing was, Stan was nearly 50 when he hung up his boots.

Matthews final, how about the other Stan who scored a hat trick

Shearer - Sheep

Again in my opinion, before his nasty injury, Shearer was the best No9 on the planet
