It is knee jerk when you get people talking about sticking the boot into Islam. And there's plenty saying it.

I find this incident disgusting and i hope nobody has to go through it, but let's not take the piss, it was two people. Not every Muslim was in on it.

By all means give these two ****s (if they survive) a good hiding.

And good luck to your relatives. I'm proud of our Servicemen & Women.

Scum such as these two want us to take to the streets and chase down anyone that ooks half like a Muslim and that would be the worst thing we could do. That would just be falling to their level of barbarism and vileness. A lot of you may think we , the British, have gone soft , does look like it, but, look at your history. People and nations will push us so far , probably further than most , then we react and oh boy, do we react and in the most vicious , cold and terminal way. In short we are the most vicious nation on this planet when upset.

Apart from that I would re-iterate what I've said for a long while - if these scumbags are shown not to be British citizens , i.e. born here , then deport them , after their prison sentences are fully served back to their country of origins along with ALL members of their families in this country going right back to great grand-parents, great uncles and aunts and all third cousins. That just might make the Muslim community in this country start focusing on putting their own house in order . Just a thought

But we can not move away from the fact they are issues within the Muslim communities that need addressing and not swept under the carpet which has been done in the past!

No, you're right Chien, but who the **** do you vote for who has the balls to do something.

My Nephew has just joined the Army and i'm wondering if this Government is going to protect him in this Country.

Anyone who believes and preaches these extremist views in any religion deserves their hands feet and tongue hacking off.

If we (the western world) wernt such a soft bunch of bastards and made sick ****s like this genuinely fear doing this kind of sick twisted **** for days of slow excruciating torture, I doubt it would happen half as much. Human rights? Don't make me ****ing laugh, where was the victims human rights? If one ignores another's human rights, his own should be void.

Worst thing is this ****ing prick will probably get 5-10 years inside then live comfortably off our welfare system and under our witness protection scheme preaching this atrocity to tomorrow's youth, that's the biggest shambles of it all. It's time civilisation put a foot down.

100% agree. There are issues with the minority of Muslims.

But then again there's problems with a minority of Christians.

Who says we can't be radicalised by hate and carry out acts of barbarism? It's not strictly a Muslim problem.

This is an heinous act and they should be hung up by the balls for a long time. What really doesn't make sense, is to a larger degree these acts are turning public opinion against Muslims as a whole, which are people in their own communities and have their own beliefs. So who in the end are they damaging their own kind.

I believe it was four people! Two decided to do one! And I do know that police were on the scene but were unarmed so couldn't do anything but watch them repeatedly stab him! We won't know the time scale of it all .yet, but if its found out he would have been saved if they had been armed! It's time for change! These animals do what they like because they know they can! They actually hung around to confront the armed response unit! But they could have just escaped to do it again. I'm not anti Muslim! Far from it, but the goal post have been moved today I think.

    CONFIRMATION BIAS!

There are a lot of people out there that do a lot of terrible things. I'm obviously all for society tackling these problems - but to link terrible actions to particular races and vilify them for it is appalling. There seems to be a trend of white males murdering young children, Mick Philpott, Ian Huntley, Stuart Hazell? Does something need to be done about white males?

Intolerance and cutting off limbs really worked throughout history didn't it? Such peaceful times...

that's the biggest load of complete and utter NON-bullshit total common sense I'll read on this thread.

i find the protection of someone's human rights who has knowingly and callously abused the human rights of another, to be absolutely ludicrous and fundamentally unjust.

Only to ignorant **** wits like the EDL and their type. Only the pond life of equal value in their own community to the monsters that do horrific things like what happened today will make such a sweeping generalisation and attack islam as a whole on the basis of it.

Anyone with a quarter of a brain knows Islam preaches peace, it's about time some of their own members learned about their own religion.

I totally agree with you the current governments are not fit for propose! And sadly i did vote Conservative, But if UKIP come up with other good agendas for the country apart from the EU then i guessing i will be voting for them.

I dont think any government could have stopped what had happened today, Maybe start posting armed guards outside the barracks? Not a good thing to say in our own country!

I believe this is the intention of most terrorist acts - to try to provoke a reaction fro their enemy that will be more damaging than anything the terrorist could do alone. Its a force multiplying effect - similar to 9/11, a spectacular atrocity but about all the jihadists could manage. They provoked the US and UK into a disproportionate response in Afghan and Iraq that bled out our Forces and made us spend billions in the process.

These arseholes want white people to smash up newsagents and firebomb mosques because they know that will drive more young Muslim men into the counsel of extremists, creating a new batch of idiots.

The worst thing we could do is become a less tolerant and more bigoted society, change our laws and remove our civil liberties. That's the only way terrorists can hope to destroy "our way of life".

Shouldn't all this have been done before? We've had incidents like that of the IRA bombing Manchester, Brighton, London & Birmingham but we've not had any change in the law.

RIP to the serviceman and condolences to his family.
