That was my initial thoughts I couldn't believe there were people just standing around watching and obviously some recording on mobiles. If that had happened up here they'd both have had the ****e kicked out of them I reckon.
Why does there have to be an online petition to give someone a medal these days, just give them it ffs.

might not go down too well here but i have just been reading up on it and sorry but i dont think they deserve it at all, its the equivilant to the Victoria Cross. (only 406 since 1940 have been giving out)

Agreed. What they did was certainly brave but if you read some of the G.C. citations it doesn`t really compare.
Very, very brave women. Not for us to say what they should and should not get but if I was a wealthy man they would be spending time on my yacht down Monaco way.

There's no doubt it was stand out bravery, there were many many others in the street and it was these ladies who stepped up. They'd just witnessed a man being hacked up by men who were still in possession of their weapons. Clear meets the criteria like, they must be in with a shout.
