Considering we'd got outbid/turned down by so many striker over the summer, and Isak had gone on strike, managing to get Woltemade and Wissa was actually very good business. Woltemade fitted straight in and got the goals, Wissa's been unfortunate with the lengthy injury but at least came been and knew how to score. Has been crappy last few games, but is clearly still a bit rusty.

Osula back soon which gives us more options.
Holy ****…. Hanging our hat on Osula being back soon is quite possibly the most worrying post I’ve ever seen on this forum, and I include the rumour of Steve Bruce signing a new contract in that statement.

Howe unfortunately just doesn't value pace in the midfield or back 4, nonetheless I'm expecting a victory Today and we'll be in a good position going into some far more difficult games.

Pace is something our recruitment team is allergic to I think. Our 11 is possibly to slowest side in the league.

Trippier is quicker than Miley and has greater experience as a right back. The injury to Murphy who's been excellent covering for Miley could well have been part of Howe's thinking.

Trippier was quicker than Miley when he joined but I think that has swapped now. Tripps may have better agility but Miley is faster when he gets going.

Trippier should be retired... Unfortunately we're going to have to endure him being done for pace repeatedly.

Not sure about that. Elanga, Gordon, Tonali, Thiaw, Tino are all fast for their positions...

I was talking in general terms.. Elanga and Gordon are fwds though.

Today our side is absolutely sloth like and if wolves are nippy (don't know tbh ) ? Then we're going to have problems imo.

Not according to recorded data for 25/26 season.
I'll admit, I was just going on the eye test, no data involved. Might also be recency bias that I remember Miley making geound and putting in challenges which I don't remember much from Trippier this season.
