It is quite evident that our game has been completely dismantled. Press hard, pack the middle and just speed walk faster than our statuesque players and we fold. It is really demoralising to watch Bajetic for example using all his skill to escape past the press only for the ball to be hoofed up and Wolves come again.

5 subs at half time, bring on the under 11s, even they will do better than this shower

We still play 2-5-3 when we have the ball as if we have a younger VVD to cover as we did 3 or 4 years ago. Abysmal

they only started the anfield road end (on clubs money) to state stadium is done and they could sell.

klopp is part of any deal not a rudderless, playerless mid table debacle.

Of the senior pros, it looks like only Allison and maybe Robbo, a tad, look like they haven't accepted that the best team in Europe just three years ago is burned out and finished. Trent, Matip, Thiago and Salah look like they've stepped straight out of Hodgson'side in 2010, or the *** end of Souness's tenure. Like watching one of those 90s nostalgia tours they have in Pontins when some bint like Betty Boo who had a minor hit way back when just goes through the motions with a glazed look on their faces as they mime away and think of how they're going to use the money to pay off their back taxes

just think how to use what we have to improve this.

we have a few tallish players and a few **** players.

put the two big men up top. gakpo and nunez and run channels.

need two lines of 4 now sitting deep.

gomez rb for rest of season.
konate back whenever we can get him back
vvd back whenever we can.
Robertson lb.

no gaps, stay tight and leave the space wide. But must block the crosses coming in.

midfield the same, keep it tight.

the speed should be shuffle one side to the other l, not vertical now. we just cannot do it any more.

the emphasis should be to block the balls in and make the pitch small. in the middle.

then just ****ing launch it up at the two donkeys and be done with it.

no thiago, no salah, no trent. just go brutal and fight.

it is actually possible to force teams to do what teams force us to do, play out to full back and back across.

We need to stop pretending we're a quick, dynamic side. that's for sure.
 
Robbo a lot more involved this half. Deffo getting something going with Gakpo.

there's lots of tactics that can be made work here.

but you cannot defend the length of the pitch if you cannot run. you can sit and defend the width of the pitch and then cramp the space forging the ball wide then just prevent the big switch.

players have to stop cooking it up and run the channels though as forwards and get us up the pitch.

This will end up like all the other times this season.
Step 1 - Concede first
Step 2 - Go into half time behind
Step 3 - Receive bollocking at half time
Step 4 - Up tempo for first 15 mins after half time
Step 5 - Achieve nothing for exertion, get knackered and slow down for remainder of half
Step 6 - Conceded again on counter

nunez clean through and poor effort, keeper easy save. **** off nunez.

that's about oh I dunno. 5 massive chances second half.

one powederpuff and handled on line.
gakpo refused to shoot
salah misses two off target.
nunez missed easy 1 on 1.

poor.
