We'll regret putting Niko on the right. Never play Niko and Luka in the same team. Never play Niko on the right. At least the bench has plenty of pace and trickery to change the game if needed. Fully expect 'Arry to use all three subs for this one - Cudicini, Pav and Bassong. I doubt whether Gio bothered to bring his boots.

I agree. I was thinking more about rotation, than resting. I now see BBC are saying that Dawson is injured. Walker and Krancar on the right makes tactical sense to me. I can see him and Bale swapping wings quite effectively also.

I'm glad Harry has an attacking line up. He's not going for a draw! Freidel, King, Kaboul and Parker should anchor the team quite nicely and keep the spine solid.

Are we sure Kranjcar actually is starting on the right?
Bale could be on that side and Kranjcar could even be in the middle with Modric on the left.
Not likely, admittedly, but surely Redknapp's noticed how ineffectual Kranjcar is on that side?

Has Krancar really done that badly on the right for us? I remember a few occasions where he did well from that position, even though I don't think he likes playing there.

You expect Cudicini to come on?

I think it's only assumed at the moment that he's playing on the right, we may well find that Bale is on the right and he is on the left.

Looks like a lot of injuries have crept up on us again, that is a weak bench with only one defender. I make it that Lennon, VDV, Hudd, Gallas, Dawson, Charlie and Sandro are all out, I will be very happy if we manage 3 points without all them.

More likely it willl be Bassong, Pav & Livermore coming on - Numb's quite right though why GDS bothers to bring his kit is beyond me, Joe Jordan has more chance of getting a game.

Which side side does Falque play on?
Might be used as a shock weapon.

I can't ever remember a good performance from Niko on the right. But then I don't rate him that much. Even from his favoured position all he does is score the occasional goal. He won't help out in defence at all, so Parker will really have his work cut out. Who plays LW for Wolves? No one good I hope, or we could get caught out down that flank.

Interesting line up but can't see us getting anything better than a draw today - confidence is low and Wolves are playing pretty well atm.

I wonder what Modric will turn up today?

Not really, 'Arry rarely uses all three. Just Pav and Bassong.

No offence to the OP but I think that this should be merged with the match thread.

If Niko's on the right I think we might find that he tucks in as more a central midfielder with Walker overlapping.

Yeah, Jarvis murdered Hutton last season.
The Scot was awful, though.

He's a bit of a VDV style player, apparently. He got used out of position on the wings when he was on loan because that was the only way to accomodate him.

Off the top of my head, there's this . . . . (Last goal.)

I also remember that moment when Corluka, Krancar and Modric were being greedy on the right of the pitch before setting up Modric to score.

I think Walker will make him even more deadly. I'm optimistic, but I guess we'll soon see.
