Ditto, but no choice, unless we go for youth. I saw somewhere someone saying would it be worth trying Walker there? ....right hand version of Bale?....based on that, you can't totally dismiss it.
[contraversial] I'd rather we played Bale on the right. A midfield of Bale, Hudd, Parker, Modric and then Kranjcar in the VDV role. [/contraversial]
Controversial - Totally agree Schteff, I'd like to see more views on this, a new thread perhaps?...its what forums are for after all.
Feel free to create it, I'm not so(npi) fussed. Or is it time for GDS to step up to the plate? I hope not
GDS...I feel bad I forgot about him! ...you're right, here's his chance I suppose, never thought I'd say that till now!
we have changed the way we played since signing VDV to a unconventional 4-5-1. now VDV is injured i firmly believe time to change back to 4-4-2. but we'll have to see
Here's the BBC pre-match report:- "A match-up that shared 10 goals in two games last season, this could be a cracker. In-form Wolves, table-toppers twice already this season, host a Tottenham side showing genuine signs of ill health. Bottom of the table, on a run of just three wins in their last 14 league matches, and boasting an apparently disgruntled squad, how Spurs are crying out for fresh impetus. Step forward Emmanuel Adebayor and Scott Parker. Spurs the wounded animal against Wolves the high-flyers? Times they are a-changing." Please, please, please, lads, give Wolves a thumping so that we can shut this twat up!
Friedel; Walker, Kaboul, King, Assou-Ekotto; Kranjcar, Modric, Parker, Bale; Adebayor, Defoe. No Dawson???? Apparent Injury - not mentioned by him during the updates on the OS this week that I can think of though... Bit concerned about Kranky on the right too... Subs: Cudicini, Bassong, Yago Falque, Giovani, Livermore, Townsend, Pavlyuchenko. No Gomes?
I like this a lot. I'm more surprised that Corluka isn't on the bench. I'm happy GDS and Falque are in the subs!! Plus, Krancar gets to start without being in the middle!!! We'll probably see Gomes, Dawson and Corluka start in the cup game.
If Harry looks at this as a game to rest players for the upcoming European fixture, he needs his head examined.
Looks like he is going for a win, no doubt. Mostly attacking players. BTW anyone know what is happening with Thudd?
I like this line-up, always rated Kaboul as better than Daws so be nice to see how Kaboul does alongside King.
It's quite standard for us to have a ton of injuries, but when did Dawson, Gomes and Corluka get crocked? I know that the Croatian was withdrawn at half-time against Israel, but I thought it was a tactical change, as they were losing.
