Would just represent a terrible business decision and the guys in charge have shown time and time again they tend to make pretty shrewd decisions.

The bit that I cannot get my head around is that when we are trying to buy a player, a lot of posters say that until a certain reporters mentions it (Romano etc) then I won't believe it. Yet here we are, a number of hours and God knows how many pages of back and forth, and not one of these reporters has said anything.

It'd be wild to sell Jobe at this point given how much of a key player he is, how fast he's developing with his value increasing at the same rate, and the long contract he's on.
It seems highly unlikely to me that we'd have some master plan to sell him and sign someone objectively better in the next couple of days, for the promotion push. No doubt there's interest but I doubt it's on our side.
People talk behind the scenes, private messages. The reason they chat once it's been leaked is to protect those who pass on information. If they didn't do it that way, they wouldn't get information.

I won’t talk about anyone’s info whether they have it or not I’ve none (since quinner left and at that time I was too young to even think about getting into :] ) but what I do find strange is fabrizio was all over jobe to palace in the summer with exclusives.

no matter what happens I think jobe and his family will make the best decision for his career they’re level headed when it comes to their careers as we’ve seen with Jude but I am hoping Utd go 0/2 with the Bellingham family

How can you take The Echo seriously with gaffes like this? It’s a shame really. When I was growing up I seem to remember that they were a decent local paper. What went wrong?

Gutted- woke up to 10 pages , thought to myself that it must be a new player but then found out it’s all just been posts about a made up release clause and gentleman’s agreement and that nobody would know about unless they had close links to the club at board level - Hopefully we hear something today
