This is where most clubs go wrong, for the first time in my support of our club, over 60 years, I think we have it right. So I completely disagree with your comment and would hate to revisit prioritising short term goals, the future is bright!

Don’t let bob etc see that. Sign young players, not good enough, need to spend a fortune to show we are being ambitious

I don't mean just go mental. It shouldn't just mean the short term isn't a focus because we want to develop instead of having the best possible now.

We have consistently made signings that I've thought we wouldn't be able to do and been surprised

Pritchard, Roberts, Clarke and Batth in league one
Samed (although he's done nowt), le fee, mepham

Hoping to be surprised again

When a chance presents itself you have to sometimes though. We can still have a long term plan but make an adjustment. If we go for it second half of the season that doesn’t mean the long term plan is out of the window. Also need to remember that we’ll realistically be losing players in the summer if we don’t go up which
 
Luton have signed that Exeter striker. Maybe out of the race for Geubbels now
