I would absolutely have Archer but my worry is he’d want to be the starting striker surely that’s where he’s performed.. where does that leave Isidor?
**** it, 442 for the rest of the seasonI would absolutely have Archer but my worry is he’d want to be the starting striker surely that’s where he’s performed.. where does that leave Isidor?

Sounds class but will probably go to Leeds6 premier league goals in two of the worst sides ever to grace the premier league
18 championship goals with a minute per goal ratio of 166 minutes with 8 assists aswell so a G/A every 119 minutes at this level
England youth international
Better than cannons record of a goal every 213 minutes at this level and a G/A every 184 minutes when similar ages
It’s a fair argument like, don’t think he’s had a proper crack at it given the teams he’s been at, every chance we could be the same if we get there too mind given the gap between the leagues, I’d read it as option to buy not obligation, much more appealing if it’s an option but yeah agree we just have to trust the club if he’s one they thinks worth itI disagree there mind mate, if we're structuring deals with an obligation on promotion then we have to be confident they can make the step up. Otherwise you're comitting a proportion of your budget on promotion on players potentially not good enough for the league and you're saddled with restrictive deadwood from the off. We won't be able to afford to be that short termist.
I'm confident the club will know what they're doing in this regard, it was more that I was trying to gauge and weigh up the credibility of the link. If consensus was that he's a top Championship player but not good enough for the PL then I'd probably dismiss the story out of hand.
Went for 15 mil in the summer, has only scored 2 since then so no reason he'd be more expensive, give them their money back if we go up and its a deal I reckonBe more than cannon, and I'm still very very skeptical there was ever actually a bid for Kilicsoy.
I would imagine Southampton want 20m+

I see your point, but if we got someone like Archer in the team, I think we'd rather quickly overtake Leeds.Would be pleased with that. Surely have to make Leeds favourites on account of more likely to be promoted (just going off maths here - don’t get annoyed at me)
We may write off some of it, should they owe us someThey will probably want the Ross Stewart money added to it![]()

I think they will be looking to get as close to the 15m they paid you'd assume - Thats if they have actually paid the 15m upfront
But that's not how Southampton or Archer will view it, is it? If they want to sell to the team most likely to be promoted, it will be to Leeds. They're 5 points clear of us.
Yeah I get that, depends who they view as manager for next season, for them he would be worth keeping in the championship if (when) they get relegated but if they are planning to keep this manager and he doesnt rate him do they cut their losses? Gutted when he goes to Leeds, think he could cover a wide forward tooThink the deal they paid was potentially up to 18, and that was just this summer, just can't see them choosing to make a loss after 6month when they don't need to.
It'll not be him were after. If he cant get into the Saints side, he has nee chance with us.I would absolutely have Archer but my worry is he’d want to be the starting striker surely that’s where he’s performed.. where does that leave Isidor?
They’ve comfortably scored more and conceded less than we have. I think it would take more than a new forward coming in to overtake Leeds.I see your point, but if we got someone like Archer in the team, I think we'd rather quickly overtake Leeds.

I don’t think he’s special enough to be guaranteed a starting spot. He’s been decent but not that goodI would absolutely have Archer but my worry is he’d want to be the starting striker surely that’s where he’s performed.. where does that leave Isidor?
Not a bad shout I liked him when we were linked before no idea how he’s done at benficaWould love Archer, if true.
Also, Portuguese media are reporting Rollheiser could be leaving Benfica. Wonder if we’d go back in for him as the “versatile forward”.
