Ambition is different to each person i suppose but for me it's always a lazy argument to make.I’m still trying to figure out what showing ambition is, who should we be chucking money at?
Tom Cannon? Diaz? Louie Barry?
Some people just want us to spend lots of money but they forget that spending money doesn't mean the player is good. Rusyn failed here, yet he cost more than the likes of Stewart, Roberts, Jobe, Clarke (i think), Ballard, Hume, Mayenda etc so was Ruysn a more ambitious signing than those? No he wasn't.
Others think signing proven championship players is showing ambition, its not imo. In the L1 days our 'plan' was to sign players who have done well in the division before (power, grigg etc) but our new owner and KS had an ambitious plan (imo) to sign promising young players and add in a couple players that had played at a higher level (evans, pritchard, batth) - that worked.
I think ambition is doing something different to everyone else, but commit to it, we are doing that and what ever happens in this window I'll still say that. The club is focusing on both short and long term plans, sometimes as fans we focus on the short term results only.
I'm looking forward to seeing what the next week brings, if I'm being greedy I want 3 to come in but I don't think we will get that many
Busy day for me today so will check in every so often to see if there's any new links
