Of course he could fail, but I think if i was signing someone to push us over the line out of Akpom and Cannon - then i would have chosen akpom
You're right in that its not a guarantee, but I think its a safer guess to say any striker will fail than to say he'll succeed as has been the case in this league for a while - I say let cam get excited and if it goes tits up you lose nothing from being skeptical originally.
It’s my genuine opinion tbh mate. Nearly 30 goals in the league we are currently in only two seasons ago and scored 15 in 35 last season which is a very good return.

I agree with Cam on this one like, think it would be a ridiculous signing for us.. it’s another huge statement of intent. Look at the other clubs mentioned. He’s got a fairly decent return from his time at Ajax too. How many teams does he not walk into at this level?

To me, the only thing I'd hope regarding Akpom is that his attitude is good if he came here. He's another that comes with good pedigree, the type of player that's been waiting for that season for a long time, it comes along and he ends up at a very big club going through some stuff. It was a weird but good move I thought at the time.

Yep I really like that move, he had a lot of interest in him across Europe- not surprised he turned down Aberdeen
Akpom would be a decent short term signing - knows the league and he is a good finisher
He is the type of lad that if you get the best out of him then he makes a difference in tight games
Im not a huge fan of his but I do think it would be a smart signing for this season
He would fit into our system nicely as well, whether as a lone striker or playing in a front 2 at times
Wonder if their fans have a weird thing for his mam like our fans did
