I think he’d thrive in that front two with Isidor and being the deeper one out of the two
I remember watching him on occassions and whilst the box looked crowded he seemed to be the one player to find a bit of space for a shot.
If it were a front 2 Isidor would certainly be the one to come and join deeper for me.

Looking at minutes though he’s only played the equivalent of 16 games so that’s more impressive especially as a fair few aren’t as CF.

Wasn't the period in which his goalscoring really exploded for Boro when he was playing more as a 10 off Archer?
Was that perhaps how he was able to find that space in the box, arriving a bit later rather than being directly up against the centre back?

Think we’ll try for a straight loan or with an option (not obligation) for Akpom if interest is genuine. Not an age we typically pay a fee for especially in the forward areas. Maybe a big loan fee and the wages could get it done if Ajax don’t think they need him. Reading about him, think he ticks a lot of boxes for what the squad needs now.
Not understanding the Akpom hype. 29 years old, only had one truly decent goalscoring season in his entire career, only hit double figures twice and one of those he barely scraped it. Doesn't seem in line with our recruitment policy either
