I'd be hugely sceptical other than the fact this Santi guy is as reliable as they come and I'm also pretty sure we wouldn't be trying unless we'd received positive signals.
I also don't think he'd have called it an "Exclusive" unless it was real. He'd have just said several clubs interested including Sunderland.

Having signed Giles I think they want to get the band back together! Ramsey and Archer in their sights too!

Can I be the first to say I’m not sure about this Akpom signing (unless I’m not the first) even if true. Maybe I’ve just seen him on off days.

FWIW I'd be dead against signing Akpom permanently. I'd only want to do the deal as a loan with obligation upon promotion.
If its a permanent whilst as a championship club I think there are better ways to spend what he'd cost.

Re the Dan Neil contract. Wonder if we should give him a bump now, make him top earner on our books. With a contract clause that on promotion bumps again to the premier league wages we have agreed with the likes of Le Fee. Chuck in a release clause if we dont go up this summer.
