Thought he would’ve retired, seems like he’s been around forever

I think he’s got bags of potential, only 20 year old

Think Chelsea would be better off targeting a bit more experience if they’re spending that kind of money though.
I think he's one or two screamers, aimless running and a lot of bad play. Argie Dan James. Certainly don't see him as a top CL performer. Not a problem for United as things stand, but Amad is miles beyond him IMO.

Another attacking player in at Ipswich

It's really weird how much business they've done on attacking players mind. I make that the 7th player they've signed this season for the front 4 positions. Then they have Chaplin, Hirst, Broadhead, Al Hammadi and Burns from the squad last season who also play in those positions.

FFP will be calling soon, surely, they’ll have to sell most of them in summer

The issue with losing Neil in this window, would be taking someone who's in very good form with a good relationship with everyone out of the team and having to hope Samed is gonna hit the ground running. Le Fee would be wasted there for me. And replacing him? Well if we went into the market in Jan for someone to play the 6 at that level, it'd cost us quite a bit, so you're talking £20 million at least, Jason Knight would probably cost half of that to replace him, to just pluck an earlier name out of a hat.

Our plan is long term, so signing someone now, ready for later. Whether it's signed ready for preseason or signed 6 months before and given a bedding in period.

Anyway, good news he's going nowhere this window, of that I'm sure.

It was apparent he was going nowhere anyway
