Many already, including "high profile" twitter fans, already beginning the "why won't we pay what Leicester want" narrative on Cannon.

Its going to be nightmare on twitter every time Cannon scores and we don't win.

from 7:34pm last night. surprised its taken this long to get out there :D

"A different team in red and white may have registered an interest in a certain soon to be OOC Danish striker. He could potentially move in with our previous skipper."

the narrative is already written. if we don't get promoted, it will go down as being because KLD wouldn't pay for Cannon outright.
whats startling

fans dont quite grasp that club wealth and owner wealth are two sepereate things

that we have learnt from past mistakes and not throwing money around.

IF SU dont go up they will have a few players they have brought on a high price on high wages.

which will back fire

Riis and Frigan would be two very solid signings

Would we need both?

Riis is nowhere near premier league quality so would only ever be seen as a player to help us get over the line. from the limited I know about him he'd be a good back up to Isidor.

But if both join that makes Mayenda, what, 4th choice?

I'd be well up for Riis btw - championship knowhow. In a way I'd prefer him to Frigan. I want somebody who can come in and impact immediately. I know Frigan might be able to do that but Riis would be less Riisky

well that's encouraging. I must say i've never been blown away by him but haven't watched too closely.
I think the attributes he has makes him capable of adapting to the premier league

take Liam Delap for example I feel these two have similar play styles

hard working, physical. I’d say emil riis is a better finisher than delap too.

there’s attributes there to make the step, and this deal will likely be cheap

Frigan is the more versatile option I assume

aye if its cheap its a very sensible move. very similar to the Alan Browne one coincidentally, in that its a senior pro you know can do a job. Won't get people massively salivating but will contribute.

Just watched a youtube video of Riis (I know, I know) and he's actually quite similar to Friggan and Isidor in a way. We're clearly scouting similar profiles of players (finally)

I'm not convinced by Riis at all, seems to do well in patches then is poor for a while

Just never stands out when I watch PNE

Others who I respect rate him though so wouldn't be against it

I can't see us signing him and Frigan tho, and I wouldn't want us too. I'd rather a more versatile forward to come in with 1 striker.

Frigan has the attributes to play wider but he pretty much only plays up front at the minute so it would be a big challenge for him to provide cover in the wide areas
