We could be coming out of the transfer window with arguably the best midfielder combination and strikers in the league.

That's a statement and it will make other clubs take notice. We mean business.

Fwiw if our bid is true there’s not a chance Leicester turn it down. They might use it to try to get more money from Sheff Utd. But they don’t turn our bid down.

I'd much rather spend that on Cannon than spend similar on that Frigin lad.

Cannon has proven himself at this level, mostly in 2 **** sides. He'd have a field day with our service.

Although I'm not too keen on all these loans. KS has said repeatedly we don't want to have a first team full of loans. Of course, they maybe expecting promotion, which would mean half of our loans would automatically be made permanent.

I would be all over Cannon personally. I think he is a superb fit for us. I think his ceiling is so very high too. £13m, if we hit all targets to trigger add ons, which you would imagine includes survival in the prem could look cheap.

Cannon is a really really good finisher. Always has been. His junior level records were great. He looks as good with his left and right foot. He is instinctive in the box and his movement is really top notch in the box. You can guarantee he will create his own space and we seem to assembling a squad built to find him.

The other thing I like is his physical strength. He looks really good back to goal, and he isnt afraid to bully centre halves.

A couple of caps for Ireland and will know Alan Browne really well. I read some suggestions he has turned us down in the past. I dont think that is true and I think he would come here if the chance presented itself.

I would be generally thrilled if he landed. And really excited by what he would bring to the team.
