We'll have to agree to disagree. My understanding is we're covering his wages as per Fabrizio's twatterings. It would be worth getting him in now for £4m, rather than inflated figure when he's gone back to Russia, costs amortised over his contract. also gives that extra loan slot to get Messi in this month (that was a joke)
What would our previous owner do?Aye i'd back out and look elsewhere if it's going above 8/8.5m
Probably pretend we kidnapped his family until he sanctioned the dealWhat would our previous owner do?![]()
Which was part of the undermining of Robins by the owners? Get the impression he was shafted somewhat.Might be mistaken but think his slump also coincided with his no. 2 leaving. Stoke may have hired a turkey....oh dear. Never mind
Connolly on his way out already, I think he will be confirmed as gone before anymore incomingsDo you think we will see more outgoings before in comings
Hope so, they’re neededDo you think we will see more outgoings before in comings
Argh, forgot about the Sunderland Bus-stop SquadronProbably pretend we kidnapped his family until he sanctioned the deal

I don’t think it will be Cannon if it’s true about Sheffield simply because we focus on good value and won’t get into a bidding war with a parachute clubThis is why I don’t think we’ll sign Tom Cannon
on one hand, being a premier league club with players that are championship quality is a nice problem to have. It would be great to be a premier league club and we need to strengthen to get there.
on the other hand, our whole model has been about long term sustainability. And signing players onto long term deals who won’t be able to do the journey with us, is against what this “model” is all about.
so I think a player like Frigan is more likely. Although I’m not convinced it’s Frigan just because Graham Falk and Fishpaste have both heard we’re interested (they may have heard from the same wrong source, or even from each other)
Younger than 22? Cannon is young and can still develop.I have seen Cannon 3 times recently, I dont see why we would be throwing £8 million at this player, I would rather we pick up a younger more skillfull player, who can develop. (I dont know who)
But if Regis wants him, go get him

I wasn't sold on him but think he's given O'Nien a tough time in the games we've played against them recently. But I wouldn't be spending £8-10m on him though. There'll be better value out there.
I rate him to a point, physical striker who will get goals. It's not to be sniffed at.I dont rate him, he is an old fashioned centre forward, he is physical, but apart from that, what else?, for that price I want more, as I said before, no idea who
I'm with you....it will be someone totally out of the blue.Given Sunderland's history over transfers, it will probably someone we haven't heard of. I imagine our recruitment team must look at forums like this and p iss themselves laughing at us giving opinion on targets they are not looking at.. I'm as guilty as anyone for that

But yeah definitely for the prices being talked about I would be looking elsewhere. This cheaper unknown to us goal machine has to exist right?![]()
Apparently the club aren’t against a perm and are trying for thatBeen told it is a loan to buy deal we’re trying for. Similar to le fee. Option if we don’t go up obligation if we do
One positive is RLB signs off every signing now, he said so himself, so if RLB thinks he suits us along with his reputation, I’m happy
