It means he's played a lot of games where he's contributed pretty much nothing.
he playing in a ****e Stoke team that dont create much us create alot but missing lots Cannon would score lots more in our team

even Stoke fans say there team is ****e

Being peddled from a PL team kicking around the bottom of the table after 2 goals in 13 in the Championship, with a 1 in 3 at, basically his level, hardly screams PL ready to me.
Promotion been confirmed, has it? That’s still a long way off. He’s more than good enough for the level we’re currently at. Our bench has been pathetic of late. We’re desperate for more quality, especially in forward areas.

This is why I don’t think we’ll sign Tom Cannon

on one hand, being a premier league club with players that are championship quality is a nice problem to have. It would be great to be a premier league club and we need to strengthen to get there.

on the other hand, our whole model has been about long term sustainability. And signing players onto long term deals who won’t be able to do the journey with us, is against what this “model” is all about.

so I think a player like Frigan is more likely. Although I’m not convinced it’s Frigan just because Graham Falk and Fishpaste have both heard we’re interested (they may have heard from the same wrong source, or even from each other)

Do people realise Cannon has only just turned 22? There’s loads of time for him to develop.

I agree, guess it depends what our recruitment team thinks his ceiling is

Id like us to sign him. I just don’t think our club will go to £9-10m for a player from a relegated club who hasn’t played in the premier for them

I know he's crap now but this is a piss poor way for a club captain to leave a club that's basically made his career. He's apparently refusing to be selected so he can get his money move. The captain ffs.

Money move, shocking really considering he will be on a fortune already!

Yet we're still 3rd or 4th highest scorers in the league?

Our starting XI is very good at this level. It’s when games are tight and you’re looking at the bench - Rusyn, Connolly <doh> There’s no doubt we need to strengthen up top. RLB has already admitted it, thankfully

Aren’t you the lad that’s basically written off Mayenda as a donkey?
I haven’t wrote him off at all. Loads of good attributes but needs to improve his finishing. He’s had some really poor games here but some brilliant ones too

Worth throwing it out there but we also need to consider next season if we don’t get promoted.

Isidor will be on wages out of our reach probably so I’d imagine his loan won’t be able to be made permanent unless we get promoted.

So in an ideal world we’d be signing somebody permanently who can help now but also potentially our main striker next season.

at which point Cannon potentially becomes more attractive again if we are able to spend some Jack Clarke money, and his wages are doable

Not so sure about that given we're covering Le Fee's wages in full (yes, I know it's only half a season). I half expect us to trigger the clause to sign Wilson this month and get him in on a good (not stellar) deal, prior to season end. Meaning any 'experienced' striker we DO get in will be on a short-term loan only, or a loan-to-buy deal. All imo.

There’s no point to signing Isidor this month. His wages are being covered by the other club.

The only reason we’d do it is to free up a loan spot but I’m not sure that’s worth suddenly adding him to the wage bill

Regarding Le Fee’s wages, technically we aren’t paying him anything. We’re paying a loan fee to Roma that covers his wages. It’s a subtle but important distinction. Our wage budget will have a ceiling and both players would probably be above it.

We'll have to agree to disagree. My understanding is we're covering his wages as per Fabrizio's twatterings. It would be worth getting him in now for £4m, rather than inflated figure when he's gone back to Russia, costs amortised over his contract. also gives that extra loan slot to get Messi in this month (that was a joke)

Why would it be inflated when he is gone back, we have a buy option already agreed at a set price?
